About Candylens & the Brands We Carry
What is Candylens.com?
Candylens.com is a colored contact lens retailer established in 2009, specializing in circle lenses and colored contacts from South Korean manufacturers. We carry brands including EOS, Geo Medical, and our own private label brand Royal Candy. With over 15 years of operation and customers in 228 countries, Candylens is one of the longest-running circle lens shops in the English-speaking market.
What brands does Candylens carry?
We carry the following brands, all manufactured in South Korea:
  • EOS — established Korean manufacturer (Daegu, South Korea, since 2002), holding CE certification, ISO 13485:2016, MDSAP, and FDA 510(k) clearance. Exports to 40+ countries.
  • Royal Candy — Candylens.com's own private label, produced by EOS. Same lens, exclusive branding
  • Geo Medical (Geolica) — CE certified (EU Medical Device Directive, Class IIa) and ISO 13485:2016 certified Korean manufacturer
We stock EOS, Royal Candy, and Geo Medical lenses in our warehouse, allowing for faster processing and quality control before shipping.
What is Royal Candy? Is it a separate brand from EOS?
Royal Candy is Candylens.com's exclusive private label brand. Royal Candy yearly lenses are manufactured by EOS (E.O.S Co., Ltd., South Korea) and sold exclusively through Candylens.com under the Royal Candy name. The optical specifications, materials, and quality are identical to EOS lenses. If you see the same design under both EOS and Royal Candy, they are the same lens — Royal Candy is simply our branded version.
Safety & Certifications
Are the circle lenses at Candylens safe?
All brands we carry are manufactured in South Korea under certified quality management systems. Specifically:
  • EOS / Royal Candy lenses — manufactured by E.O.S Co., Ltd. (Daegu, South Korea):
    • FDA 510(k) cleared — No. K242855, cleared July 2025 by the U.S. FDA (Center for Devices and Radiological Health). Product: P-CON polymacon soft contact lenses, Class II.
    • CE certified — EU Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC, Class IIa. Certificate No. KR19/81826236, issued by SGS Belgium NV (Notified Body 1639).
    • ISO 13485:2016 — Medical device quality management system, valid until February 2028. Issued by SGS United Kingdom Ltd.
    • MDSAP — Medical Device Single Audit Program, covering FDA, Health Canada, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Geo Medical lenses — CE certified under EU Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC (Class IIa) and ISO 13485:2016 certified, audited by Bureau Veritas Italia S.p.A.
As with any contact lens, safe use requires proper hygiene, following the recommended wear schedule, and using lenses only with a valid prescription from a licensed eye care professional.
Do I need a prescription to buy colored contacts at Candylens?
In the United States, yes — all contact lenses including cosmetic colored lenses legally require a valid prescription from a licensed eye care professional. This applies to plano (0.00, no vision correction) lenses as well. Candylens.com complies with US contact lens regulations. If you do not have a current prescription, you can obtain one from your optometrist or through an online eye exam service such as Visibly. Requirements vary outside the US — please check your local regulations.
Are EOS lenses FDA approved?
EOS (E.O.S Co., Ltd.) received FDA 510(k) clearance on July 30, 2025 (No. K242855, issued by the FDA's Division of Ophthalmic Devices). The cleared device is the P-CON polymacon soft (hydrophilic) contact lens — tinted and color. This makes EOS one of the very few colored circle lens brands to hold FDA 510(k) clearance for the US market.

FDA 510(k) clearance means the FDA has determined the device is substantially equivalent to a legally marketed predicate device. This is the standard regulatory pathway for Class II medical devices including soft contact lenses — the same pathway used by major contact lens brands sold in US pharmacies and optometry offices. EOS also holds CE certification (EU), ISO 13485:2016, and MDSAP — a rare combination of international certifications for a circle lens manufacturer.
Sizes, Diameters & How to Choose
What diameter sizes are available?
Our EOS and Royal Candy lenses come in four diameter sizes. Larger diameters create a more dramatic enlarging effect:
Diameter Look Best For
14.0mm Natural, subtle Everyday wear, first-time wearers, professional settings
14.2mm Slightly enlarged Daily glam, natural makeup, K-beauty aesthetic
14.5mm Noticeably enlarged Ulzzang / anime looks, photography, bold daily wear
14.8mm Dramatic, doll-like Cosplay, Halloween, stage performance, editorial
What are the best circle lenses for dark brown eyes?
Dark brown eyes need lenses with high pigment opacity to show color clearly. Our recommendations:
  • For natural enhancement — hazel, honey brown, or gray-brown blends in 14.2mm–14.5mm. These warm tones layer beautifully over dark irises without looking artificial.
  • For bold color — choose 14.5mm or 14.8mm. The larger graphic zone covers more of the dark iris, making vibrant colors like blue, green, or violet actually show up.
  • For cosplay on dark eyes — 14.8mm with high-opacity single-tone colors (red, violet, pure blue) gives the best character accuracy.
  • Avoid — light blue or pale green at 14.0mm on very dark irises; the color tends to appear muddy.
What are the best EOS lenses for a natural everyday look?
For the most natural result, prioritize:
  • Diameter 14.0mm–14.2mm — subtle enlargement that doesn't look obviously like contacts
  • Colors: brown, hazel, gray-brown, or honey — these mimic natural iris variation
  • Multi-tone patterns — lenses blending 2–3 tones look far more realistic than flat single colors
  • Thin or no limbal ring — a thick black outer ring is the main giveaway that someone is wearing contacts
Recommended natural-look EOS series: Isha (14.0mm), Coco (14.2mm), Sofia (14.5mm for a slightly bigger but still natural look).
What are the best circle lenses for cosplay?
For cosplay, prioritize bold color and maximum enlarging effect:
  • 14.5mm–14.8mm diameter — most visible on camera and on stage
  • High-opacity single-tone colors — blue, green, red, violet, pink for accurate character colors
  • EOS New Adult series (14.8mm) — extremely popular in the global cosplay community for anime, fantasy, and game characters
  • Geo Medical cosplay range — wide selection of bold and special-effect colors
For Halloween or special effects requiring all-black, white-out, or patterned sclera lenses, check our Halloween and effect lens collections.
Pricing, Wear Schedule & Care
How much do EOS and Royal Candy lenses cost?
  • Clearance / sale lenses: from $13.90 per pair
  • Regular price: $22.90 – $25.90 per pair
Each pair includes 2 lenses in sterile saline solution vials. Contact lens solution and case are not included. All prices in USD.
How long do yearly circle lenses last?
EOS and Royal Candy lenses are yearly disposable — each pair should be discarded within 12 months of first opening, regardless of how often you wore them. Daily wear should be limited to 8 hours maximum. Unopened, sealed lenses typically have a shelf life of 3–5 years from the manufacturing date (check the package for the expiry date before use).
How do I care for yearly circle lenses?
  • Always wash hands thoroughly before handling lenses
  • Clean with multipurpose contact lens solution — rub, rinse, and store in fresh solution after every wear
  • Never use tap water, saliva, or eye drops to store lenses
  • Replace solution daily even on days you don't wear the lenses
  • Replace your lens case every 3 months
  • Do not sleep in your lenses — EOS yearly lenses are not approved for overnight wear
  • Discard after 12 months from first opening
Can I wear circle lenses if I have astigmatism?
Standard circle lenses are spherical and do not correct astigmatism. If you have mild astigmatism (under -0.75 CYL), some wearers tolerate spherical lenses for short periods — but only on advice from your eye care professional. Moderate to severe astigmatism: standard circle lenses are not recommended. Always consult your optometrist before purchasing.
Does Candylens ship to the United States?
Yes — the United States is our primary market and we have been shipping to US customers since 2009. We also ship worldwide to over 200 countries. Customs duties and import taxes are the customer's responsibility. Some countries have import restrictions on contact lenses — please check local regulations before ordering.
